We started working together in 2007 on our first project to design, build and deliver a new airline reservations systems for Jet2. The previous system was simply not able to meet the commercial needs for strong revenue growth. A completely new system was architected, designed and delivered from scratch. As was the team which delivered it, from an empty office to a completed delivery team. The new reservations system went live in February 2008. A major milestone as it enabled customer to select seats and add bags in the booking process for the first time. This created additional revenue streams to drive grwoth.
Having delivered the project for Jet2. We then worked on delivering a new web site and booking engine for Jet2holidays, another major milestone to enable the strategy to operate as a tour operator and airline. It was decided to bring this in house after a less than successful launch by another third party. The new booking engine was built on the same architecture and foundations as Jet2 airline reservation system. Integrations were built with various hotel booking platforms (bed banks). The system was multi-channel with a web site for consumers, a web application for Travel Agents and a web application for a large contact centre plus a mobile application. Multiple integrations were provided to well known names such as Trip Advisor and Travel Supermarket.
